Strategies of Making 50CC Mopeds Work Faster

There is a plethora of 50cc mopeds in the market today and this has made them to become very popular. Most of them can move in a speed of up to twenty-five miles per hour. However, this exclusively depends on the model as well as the make of the bike, not to forget the number of years it has been in use. While this is the case, it is should be known that almost all 50cc mopeds can move faster with a few automated alterations and simple maintenance, having said that, owners of these bikes can make some alterations on the air intake and the variator system as a way of making them quicker. Read on and learn the ways to carry out these alterations.

• First and foremost, you need to have all the materials that you require for the alteration exercise. These materials include tire gauge, impact & socket wrench, awl and drill.

• Once you have all the materials that you need, the next step you need to take in making your 50cc mopeds faster is to remove the air intake case. The intake cases usually rest above the variator found on the left side of the moped with 2 bolts attached to them. This makes it easier for you to remove them using a socket wrench. The reason for removing the case is to allow more air to penetrate the engine while it is burning fuel.

• Once done with the above step, it is worthwhile to install either bigger or smaller variator elevator wheels. However, this will solely depend on the speed preferences that you want. For instance, if you plan on installing smaller tires, your moped will accelerate very fast especially on hilly areas. On the other hand, bigger tires will provide fast cruising speed abilities. Remember, you can uninstall and reinstall these tires by simply unscrewing and re-screwing the middle bold using an impact wrench that is air powered.

• On the moped, specifically on the inside of the washer, you will locate a variator system, which you are supposed to disengage by pulling off the rod when the rear tire has been removed. This washer is important as it is used to restrict speed. Removing it gives your motorcycle an opportunity to be able to max out the quantity of power that has been transferred directly from the engine to the drive belt.

• When filling the rear wheel, ensure that you use the quantity that has been indicated on the side of the wheel. In most cases, this can range from twenty eight to thirty six PS. In case you possess a rear wheel that has been underinflated, it can easily drop your speed drastically. Once this happens, even if you try different installations and modifications, the speed will not increase at all. Make sure you follow the above given instructions if you want the best results.

Since there are different 50cc mopeds that are used on different terrains, it is imperative to ensure that you select the speed range to use on the 50cc mopeds that will work best on the terrain that you frequent most.
